The Caston Comets basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Pioneer Panthers to 36 in the Comets league triumph on Friday.

The Comets now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northfield for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 29. Caston will battle a Norsemen team coming off a 60-32 league loss to Rochester (Rochester, IN). The Norsemen record now stands at 3-11.

The Panthers (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Rossville (Rossville, IN). The Hornets enter the non-league contest with a 8-7 record. In their last contest, Rossville was defeated by Eastern (Greentown, IN), 49-46, in a league contest.
