The Northwest Whitfield Bruins (Tunnel Hill, GA) basketball nipped the host Cedartown Bulldogs (Cedartown, GA), 75-72 in Friday's league test.

The Bruins (18-3) will now prepare for their test against Pickens (Jasper, GA). The Dragons go into the AAAA Region 7 test with a 10-12 record. In their last test, Pickens got by Ridgeland (Rossville, GA), 77-48, in a league test.

The Bulldogs now own a 7-10 record. They play next when they host Temple for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 1. Cedartown will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 42-32 non-league win over Faith Christian (Anniston, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 11-8.
