The Pike County Pirates basketball team (Zebulon, GA), dropped 83-63 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Central Chargers (Macon, GA)

The Chargers now sport a 12-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Crisp County for a AAA Region 2 battle on Tuesday, February 1. Central will battle a Cougars team coming off a 78-64 non-league loss to Houston County (Warner Robins, GA). The Cougars record now stands at 9-11.

The Pirates (1-18) will now prepare for their battle against Sumter County (Americus, GA). The Panthers come into the AAA Region 2 battle with a 20-2 record. In their last battle, Sumter County prevailed over Tift County (Tifton, GA), 54-41, in a non-league battle.
