Indiana High School Basketball - Evansville Day holds off Wood Memorial
January 28, 2022: Evansville, IN 47715 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Evansville Day Eagles (Evansville, IN) and the visiting Wood Memorial Trojans (Oakland City, IN), saw Evansville Day's basketball squad hold off Wood Memorial by a tally of 79-74.
With the victory, Evansville Day improves its record to 3-10 on the campaign. The Eagles host Tecumseh (Lynnville, IN) to confront the Braves in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 3. The Braves come into the challenge with a record of 5-8. Tecumseh lost 66-47 in their recent non-league challenge against Evansville Christian (Evansville, IN)
Next up, the Trojans confront the Northeast Dubois Jeeps (Dubois, IN) in a Blue Chip challenge, on Saturday, January 29. Wood Memorial will attempt to improve on its 1-10 season record. The Jeeps come into the challenge with a 5-10 record after their 58-55 non-league loss to Jasper (Jasper, IN).
