Morgan Huskies (Clinton, CT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Portland Highlanders (Portland, CT), 51-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Morgan upgrades its record to 8-4 on the season. The Huskies host East Hampton (East Hampton, CT) to clash with the Bellringers in a Shoreline bout on Tuesday, February 1. The Bellringers go into the bout with a record of 8-4. East Hampton won 73-47 in their recent league bout against Old Lyme (Old Lyme, CT)

Next up, the Highlanders clash with the Westbrook Knights (Westbrook, CT) in a Shoreline bout, on Tuesday, February 1. Portland will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 5-8 record after their 52-43 league win over North Branford (North Branford, CT).
