The Austin Maroons (Austin, TX) basketball nipped the visiting San Marcos Rattlers (San Marcos, TX), 56-49 in Friday's league test.

The Maroons (25-2) will now prepare for their test against Hays (Buda, TX). The Hawks go into the 6A Region IV District 26 test with a 21-12 record. In their last test, Hays was tipped by Westlake (Austin, TX), 45-29, in a league test.
