Riley County Falcons (Riley, KS) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Wabaunsee Chargers (Alma, KS), 40-22 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Riley County upgrades its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Marysville (Marysville, KS) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 1. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 5-6. Marysville lost 52-44 in their recent non-league bout against Manhattan (Manhattan, KS)

Next up, the Chargers play the Lyndon Tigers (Lyndon, KS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 1. Wabaunsee will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 3-8 record after their 36-32 non-league loss to West Franklin (Pomona, KS).
