Lone Star Rangers (Frisco, TX) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Independence Knights (Frisco, TX), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Rangers face the Heritage Coyotes (Frisco, TX) in a 5A Region 2 District 9 challenge, on Tuesday, February 1. Lone Star will attempt to better on its 8-1 season record. The Coyotes enter the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 0-0 league Reedy (Frisco, TX).
