Independence Patriots (Glendale, AZ) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the visiting Willow Canyon Wildcats (Surprise, AZ), 5-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Patriots confront the West Point Dragons (Avondale, AZ) in a 5A Central challenge, on Tuesday, February 1. Independence will attempt to better on its 8-4 season record. The Dragons enter the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 4-3 league loss to North Canyon (Phoenix, AZ).
