Connecticut High School Basketball - Avon tops Rockville
January 28, 2023: Vernon, CT 06066 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Avon Falcons (Avon, CT) and the host Rockville Rams (Vernon, CT), saw Avon's basketball squad knock off Rockville by a count of 59-51.
With the victory, Avon upgrades its record to 3-8 on the campaign. The Falcons host RHAM (Hebron, CT) to play the Raptors in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Raptors come into the challenge with a record of 8-5. RHAM won 61-55 in their recent non-league challenge against East Hartford (East Hartford, CT)
Next up, the Rams play the Coventry Patriots (Coventry, CT) in a North Central Connecticut challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Rockville will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 8-6 record after their 54-41 league win over Somers (Somers, CT).
