California High School Basketball - Bishop Gorman holds off San Ysidro

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Bishop Gorman Gaels (Las Vegas, NV) and the host San Ysidro Cougars (San Diego, CA), saw Bishop Gorman's basketball squad hold off San Ysidro by a tally of 82-79.

With the victory, Bishop Gorman improves its record to 16-6 on the campaign. The Gaels travel to Palo Verde (Las Vegas, NV) to confront the Panthers in a 5A Southern challenge on Monday, January 30. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 5-10. Palo Verde lost 51-41 in their recent league challenge against Desert Pines (Las Vegas, NV)

Next up, the Cougars confront the Olympian Eagles (Chula Vista, CA) in a Mesa challenge, on Monday, January 30. San Ysidro will attempt to improve on its 13-10 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 11-10 record after their 71-52 non-league loss to Madison (San Diego, CA).
