The Veritas Collegiate Academy Spartans (Chesapeake, VA) basketball knocked off the visiting Cristo Rey Royals (Richmond, VA), 60-50 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Spartans (13-4) will now prepare for their test against Walsingham Academy (Williamsburg, VA). The Trojans go into the non-league test with a 12-10 record.
The Royals now own a 7-12 record. They play next when they host James River HomeSchool for a Freelance test on Monday, January 30. Cristo Rey will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 59-29 league win over Fairfax HomeSchool (Fairfax, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 16-4.
