January 28, 2023: Grand Rapids, MI 49315 In Saturday's non-league outing, the South Christian Sailors (Grand Rapids, MI) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Edison Academy Pioneers (Detroit, MI), by a count of 58-36.
The Sailors (11-3) will now prepare for their outing against Forest Hills Eastern (Ada, MI). The Hawks go into the Ottawa-Kent - Gold outing with a 8-4 record. In their last outing, Forest Hills Eastern was crushed by Wayland (Wayland, MI), 52-34, in a league outing.
The Pioneers now hold a 10-5 record. They play next when they travel to Belleville for a non-league outing on Sunday, January 29. Edison Academy will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 55-37 league win over Glenn (Westland, MI). The Tigers record now stands at 8-5.
