South Carolina High School Basketball - Lake Marion thwarted by Edisto
January 28, 2023: Cordova, SC 29039 The Lake Marion Gators basketball team (Santee, SC), was toppled 45-31 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Edisto Cougars (Cordova, SC)
The Cougars now possess a 7-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wade Hampton for a AA Region 6 battle on Tuesday, January 31. Edisto will confront a Red Devils team coming off a 92-38 league win over Ridgeland/Hardeeville (Ridgeland, SC). The Red Devils record now stands at 19-3.
The Gators (3-15) will now prepare for their battle against Oceanside Collegiate Academy (Mt. Pleasant, SC). The Landsharks come into the AA Region 7 battle with a 17-5 record. In their last battle, Oceanside Collegiate Academy was toppled by Moravian Prep (Hudson, NC), 97-68, in a non-league battle.
