Virginia High School Basketball - Kellam routs Surry County
January 28, 2023: Virginia Beach, VA 23456 In Saturday's non-league outing, the Kellam Knights (Virginia Beach, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Surry County Cougars (Dendron, VA), by a count of 60-20.
The Knights (10-7) will now prepare for their outing against Ocean Lakes (Virginia Beach, VA). The Dolphins go into the Beach outing with a 1-19 record. In their last outing, Ocean Lakes smashed Hickory (Chesapeake, VA), 62-49, in a non-league outing.
The Cougars now hold a 7-13 record. They play next when they host Greensville County for a Tri-Rivers outing on Wednesday, February 1. Surry County will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Brunswick (Lawrenceville, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 11-6.
