January 28, 2023: Bangor, WI 54614 The West Salem Panthers (West Salem, WI) basketball nipped the host Bangor Cardinals (Bangor, WI), 55-48 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Panthers (14-1) will now prepare for their test against Aquinas (La Crosse, WI). The Blugolds go into the non-league test with a 17-1 record. In their last test, Aquinas got by Holmen (Holmen, WI), 66-24, in a league test.
The Cardinals now own a 12-5 record. They play next when they travel to Melrose-Mindoro for a non-league test on Monday, January 30. Bangor will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 60-44 non-league loss to Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran (Eau Claire, WI). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-9.
