Illinois High School Basketball - Breese Central can't hold off Teutopolis
January 28, 2023: Teutopolis, IL 62467 The Teutopolis Wooden Shoes basketball team scored 46 points and restricted the visiting Breese Central Cougars to 44 in the Wooden Shoes non-league victory on Saturday.
The Wooden Shoes now sport a 23-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mater Dei for a non-league contest on Monday, January 30. Teutopolis will battle a Knights team coming off a 47-38 non-league loss to Nashville (Nashville, IL). The Knights record now stands at 17-6.
The Cougars (16-9) will now prepare for their contest against East Alton-Wood River (Wood River, IL). The Oilers come into the Cahokia - Mississippi contest with a 8-16 record. In their last contest, East Alton-Wood River edged North Greene (White Hall, IL), 59-20, in a non-league contest.
