Ohio High School Basketball - Kirtland thwarts Newton Falls
January 28, 2023: Kirtland, OH 44094 The Kirtland Hornets (Kirtland, OH) basketball knocked off the visiting Newton Falls Tigers (Newton Falls, OH), 50-30 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Hornets (10-7) will now prepare for their test against Wickliffe (Wickliffe, OH). The Blue Devils go into the Chagrin Valley - Valley test with a 8-9 record. In their last test, Wickliffe went down by Grand Valley (Orwell, OH), 52-43, in a league test.
The Tigers now own a 7-11 record. They play next when they host Garfield for a Mahoning Valley - Grey test on Monday, January 30. Newton Falls will encounter a G-Men squad coming off a 59-42 league win over Liberty (Youngstown, OH). The G-Men record now stands at 16-1.
