Omaha Nation Chiefs (Macy, NE) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Lower Brule Sioux (Lower Brule, SD), 45-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Omaha Nation upgrades its record to 14-5 on the campaign. The Chiefs travel to Omaha Christian Academy (Omaha, NE) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 7-7. Omaha Christian Academy lost 62-18 in their recent non-league bout against Parkview Christian (Lincoln, NE)

Next up, the Sioux play the Crow Creek Chieftains (Stephan, SD) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Lower Brule will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Chieftains come into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 60-52 league loss to Stanley County (Fort Pierre, SD).
