With the victory, Boyd County advances its record to 10-7 on the year. The Lions travel to Blazer (Ashland, KY) to meet the Tomcats in a District 64 battle on Friday, January 31. The Tomcats enter the battle with a record of 13-5. Blazer won 79-60 in their recent non-league battle against Pikeville (Pikeville, KY)
The Comets now own a 3-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Elliott County for a District 62 battle on Friday, January 31. West Carter will meet a Lions squad coming off a 42-38 league loss to East Carter (Grayson, KY). The Lions record now stands at 10-5.
