January 28, 2025: Vermillion, SD 57069 The Vermillion Tanagers bounced the visiting Crow Creek Chieftains basketball squad by a final score of 87-35 in Tuesday's non-league outing.
Next, the Tanagers face the Dell Rapids Quarriers (Dell Rapids, SD) in a non-league outing, on Thursday, January 30. Vermillion will attempt to upgrade on its 9-3 season record. The Quarriers enter the outing with a 8-5 record after their 56-32 non-league win over Mt. Vernon/Plankinton (Mt. Vernon, SD).
The Chieftains (5-9) will now prepare for their outing against Stanley County (Fort Pierre, SD). The Buffalos enter the A Region 6 outing with a 10-3 record. In their last outing, Stanley County was overwhelmed by Sully Buttes (Onida, SD), 43-40, in a non-league challenge.
