January 28, 2025: Worcester, MA 01603 Doherty Memorial Highlanders (Worcester, MA) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host South Colonels (Worcester, MA), 80-60 in a league match.
With the victory, Doherty Memorial advances its record to 12-2 on the year. The Highlanders travel to Grafton (Grafton, MA) to face the Gators in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 4. The Gators enter the match with a record of 9-5. Grafton won 63-38 in their recent non-league match against Bartlett (Webster, MA)
The Colonels now own a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Paul for a non-league match on Friday, January 31. South will face a Knights squad coming off a 49-41 league win over St. Bernard's Central Catholic (Fitchburg, MA). The Knights record now stands at 5-7.
