In Tuesday's non-league test, the Gaston Day Spartans (Gastonia, NC) basketball squad knocked off the host Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers (Rock Hill, SC), by a score of 76-68.

Next, the Spartans encounter the Westminster Catawba Christian Indians (Rock Hill, SC) in a NCISAA Metrolina test, on Friday, January 31. Gaston Day will attempt to improve on its 17-8 season record. The Indians come into the test with a 10-14 record after their 69-37 league win over Metrolina Christian Academy (Indian Trail, NC).

The Lancers (5-20) will now prepare for their test against Rabun Gap-Nacoochee (Rabun Gap, GA). The Eagles come into the non-league test with a 8-15 record. In their last test, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee was knocked off by Christ School (Arden, NC), 56-39, in a league test.
