Georgia High School Basketball - Mount Vernon holds off Landmark Christian

In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Mount Vernon Mustangs basketball team scored a close 65-62 triumph over the Landmark Christian War Eagles.

The Mustangs (12-8) will now prepare for their contest against Paideia (Atlanta, GA). The Pythons go into the A D1 Region 5 contest with a 11-10 record. In their last contest, Paideia nipped King's Ridge Christian (Alpharetta, GA), 68-57, in a league contest.

In their next game, the War Eagles confront the Wesleyan Wolves (Norcross, GA) in a A D1 Region 5 contest, on Friday, January 31. Landmark Christian will attempt to better on its 9-6 season record. The Wolves go into the contest with a 6-14 record after their 56-48 league win over Mount Pisgah Christian (Johns Creek, GA).
