New York High School Basketball - South Seneca toppled by Waterloo
January 28, 2025: Ovid, NY 14521 Waterloo Tigers (Waterloo, NY) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host South Seneca Falcons (Ovid, NY), 61-51 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Waterloo advances its record to 12-3 on the year. The Tigers travel to Newark (Newark, NY) to face the Reds in a Section 5 Finger Lakes - East match on Friday, January 31. The Reds enter the match with a record of 7-8. Newark won 67-42 in their recent league match against Midlakes (Clifton Springs, NY)
The Falcons now own a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Harley Allendale Columbia for a Section 5 Finger Lakes - West match on Thursday, January 30. South Seneca will face a Wolves squad coming off a 68-36 non-league loss to World of Inquiry (Rochester, NY). The Wolves record now stands at 0-5.
