Mississippi High School Basketball - Columbia thwarts Bay
January 28, 2025: Bay St. Louis, MS 39520 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Columbia Wildcats (Columbia, MS) and the host Bay Tigers (Bay St. Louis, MS), observed Columbia's basketball team knock off Bay by a score of 31-21.
The Wildcats (15-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Sumrall (Sumrall, MS). The Bobcats come into the 4A Region 7 challenge with a 13-13 record. In their last challenge, Sumrall prevailed over Purvis (Purvis, MS), 54-38, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Poplarville Hornets (Poplarville, MS) in a 4A Region 8 challenge, on Thursday, January 30. Bay will attempt to improve on its 17-8 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 7-19 record after their 67-34 league loss to Greene County (Leakesville, MS).
