In Wednesday's non-league contest, the visiting Boone Braves basketball team scored a close 71-67 triumph over the Freedom Patriots.

The Braves (14-10) will now prepare for their contest against Cypress Creek (Orlando, FL). The Bears enter the non-league match with a 3-18 record. In their last match, Cypress Creek was nudged by Ocoee (Ocoee, FL), 70-56, in a non-league match.

The Patriots now own a 13-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Horizon for a non-league match on Friday, January 30. Freedom will battle a Hawks team coming off a 82-32 non-league loss to Windermere (Windermere, FL). The Hawks record now stands at 4-18.
