In Friday's league outing, the North Penn-Liberty (Liberty, PA) basketball squad felled the host Towanda Black Knights (Towanda, PA), by a margin of 49-40.

The (6-0) will now prepare for their outing against Wellsboro (Wellsboro, PA). The Hornets go into the Northern Tier outing with a 5-1 record. In their last outing, Wellsboro thwarted Cowanesque Valley (Westfield, PA), 71-31, in a league outing.

The Black Knights now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Elk Lake for a non-league outing on Saturday, January 30.
