Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Scranton Prep nips North Pocono
January 29, 2022: Scranton, PA 18509 Scranton Prep Cavaliers (Scranton, PA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting North Pocono Trojans (Covington Township, PA), 53-51 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Scranton Prep upgrades its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host Abington Heights (Clarks Summit, PA) to play the Comets in a Lackawanna 1 bout on Monday, January 31. The Comets come into the bout with a record of 10-5. Abington Heights won 64-39 in their recent league bout against West Scranton (Scranton, PA)
Next up, the Trojans confront the Western Wayne Wildcats (Lake Ariel, PA) in a Lackawanna 2 challenge, on Monday, January 31. North Pocono will attempt to improve on its 9-3 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 0-13 record after their 65-60 league loss to Delaware Valley (Milford, PA).
