January 29, 2022: Wayne City, IL Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Johnston City Indians (Johnston City, IL) and the host Wayne City/Cisne (Wayne City, IL), saw Johnston City's basketball squad hold off Wayne City/Cisne by a tally of 43-42.
With the victory, Johnston City improves its record to 10-14 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Webber (Bluford, IL) to play the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 31. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 9-13. Webber won 53-20 in their recent non-league challenge against Cobden (Cobden, IL)
Next up, the play the North Clay/Clay City (Louisville, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 5. Wayne City/Cisne will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record.
