The Churchill Bulldogs basketball team scored 74 points and held the visiting Richard Montgomery Rockets to 73 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Monday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wootton for a Montgomery 4A/3A Central contest on Friday, February 2. Churchill will battle a Patriots team coming off a 68-65 non-league win over Quince Orchard (Gaithersburg, MD). The Patriots record now stands at 13-4.

The Rockets (9-6) will now prepare for their contest against Whitman (Bethesda, MD). The Vikings enter the non-league contest with a 12-3 record. In their last contest, Whitman nudged Seneca Valley (Germantown, MD), 75-67, in a non-league contest.
