Illinois High School Basketball - Belleville East tops Mascoutah
January 29, 2024: Mascoutah, IL 62258 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Belleville East Lancers (Belleville, IL) and the host Mascoutah Indians (Mascoutah, IL), saw Belleville East's basketball squad knock off Mascoutah by a count of 49-41.
With the victory, Belleville East upgrades its record to 7-15 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to Belleville West (Belleville, IL) to play the Maroons in a Southwestern challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Maroons come into the challenge with a record of 2-20. Belleville West lost 62-51 in their recent league challenge against Collinsville (Collinsville, IL)
Next up, the Indians play the Althoff Catholic Crusaders (Belleville, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 31. Mascoutah will attempt to upgrade on its 5-18 season record. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a 15-10 record after their 53-9 non-league win over Metro-East Lutheran (Edwardsville, IL).
