Minnesota High School Basketball - Deer River can't hold off Bigfork
January 29, 2024: Deer River, MN 56636 The Bigfork Huskies basketball team scored 50 points and held the host Deer River Warriors to 48 in the Huskies league triumph on Monday.
The Huskies now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Ridge for a A Section 7 contest on Tuesday, January 30. Bigfork will battle a Panthers team coming off a 73-24 league win over Kelley (Silver Bay, MN). The Panthers record now stands at 17-3.
The Warriors (10-10) will now prepare for their contest against Floodwood (Floodwood, MN). The Polar Bears enter the A Section 7 contest with a 10-5 record. In their last contest, Floodwood was nudged by Chisholm (Chisholm, MN), 63-46, in a league contest.
