January 29, 2024: Merrill, MI 48637 The Merrill Vandals tipped the visiting Lakeview Wildcats basketball team by a final score of 32-31 in Monday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Vandals face the Sacred Heart Academy Irish (Mt. Pleasant, MI) in a Mid-State game, on Wednesday, January 31. Merrill will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Irish come into the battle with a 12-1 record after their 49-8 league win over Coleman (Coleman, MI).
The Wildcats (6-5) will now prepare for their battle against Holton (Holton, MI). The Red Devils come into the Central State battle with a 9-3 record. In their last battle, Holton was nudged by Mason County Central (Scottville, MI), 53-30, in a non-league battle.
