Michigan High School Basketball - Portage Northern can't hold off Plainwell

January 29, 2024: Plainwell, MI 49080

The Plainwell Trojans basketball team scored 45 points and restricted the visiting Portage Northern Huskies to 41 in the Trojans non-league victory on Monday.

The Trojans now sport a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sturgis for a Wolverine B contest on Friday, February 2. Plainwell will battle a Trojans team coming off a 75-48 non-league win over Union City (Union City, MI). The Trojans record now stands at 5-8.

The Huskies (0-12) will now prepare for their contest against Three Rivers (Three Rivers, MI). The Wildcats come into the non-league contest with a 2-8 record. In their last contest, Three Rivers was nudged by Paw Paw (Paw Paw, MI), 85-51, in a league contest.
