The The Academy of the Holy Cross (Kensington, MD) varsity basketball team won Monday's home non-conference game against Southern Maryland Christian Academy (White Plains, MD) by a score of 75-14.
The The Academy of the Holy Cross Tartans basketball team scored 75 points and held the visiting Southern Maryland Christian Academy Mustangs to 14 in the Tartans non-league triumph on Monday.
The Tartans now sport a 10-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Elizabeth Seton for a Washington Catholic contest on Tuesday, January 30. The Academy of the Holy Cross will battle a team coming off a 68-46 league win over Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, MD). The record now stands at 13-4.
The Mustangs (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Calverton (Huntingtown, MD). The enter the Maryland Independent contest with a 0-5 record. In their last contest, Calverton was routed by Southern Maryland Christian Academy (White Plains, MD), 48-13, in a league contest.
