South Carolina High School Basketball - South Aiken nips Airport
January 29, 2024: Aiken, SC 29803 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the South Aiken Thoroughbreds (Aiken, SC) and the visiting Airport Eagles (West Columbia, SC), saw South Aiken's basketball squad hold off Airport by a tally of 24-22.
With the victory, South Aiken improves its record to 3-8 on the campaign. The Thoroughbreds host Midland Valley (Graniteville, SC) to play the Mustangs in a challenge on Thursday, February 1. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 10-3. Midland Valley won 40-27 in their recent non-league challenge against Aiken (Aiken, SC)
Next up, the Eagles play the North Augusta Yellow Jackets (North Augusta, SC) in a challenge, on Friday, February 2. Airport will attempt to improve on its 1-11 season record. The Yellow Jackets come into the challenge with a 11-1 record after their 36-10 non-league win over Aiken (Aiken, SC).
