California High School Soccer - Compton Early College nudges Shalhevet
January 29, 2025: Compton, CA 90222 Fans at Wednesday's league battle between the Compton Early College Rising Phoenix (Compton, CA) and the visiting Shalhevet Firehawks (Los Angeles, CA), saw Compton Early College's soccer squad hold off Shalhevet by a count of 1-0.
The Rising Phoenix (8-7) will now prepare for their battle against Animo City of Champions (Inglewood, CA). The Wildcats enter the battle with a 0-5 record. In their last battle, Animo City of Champions was edged by Compton Early College (Compton, CA), 1-0, in a league battle.
Next up, the Firehawks battle the Milken Wildcats (Los Angeles, CA) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, January 30. Shalhevet will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Wildcats enter the battle with a 1-8 record after their 1-1 league Oakwood (North Hollywood, CA).
