In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Plainview Pirates basketball team scored a close 63-60 win over the Cedar Catholic Trojans.

The Pirates (11-5) will now prepare for their match against Neligh-Oakdale (Neligh, NE). The Warriors enter the non-league match with a 5-12 record. In their last match, Neligh-Oakdale got by West Holt (Atkinson, NE), 51-32, in a non-league match.

The Trojans now own a 7-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Elkhorn Valley for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 10.
