Louisiana High School Basketball - Covenant Christian Academy nips Lutheran
January 30, 2023: Houma, LA 70364 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Covenant Christian Academy Lions (Houma, LA) and the visiting Lutheran Gryphons (Metairie, LA), saw Covenant Christian Academy's basketball squad hold off Lutheran by a tally of 37-31.
With the victory, Covenant Christian Academy improves its record to 2-7 on the campaign. The Lions host Hanson Memorial (Franklin, LA) to play the Tigers in a 1A District 7 challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 8-9. Hanson Memorial won 46-35 in their recent league challenge against Highland Baptist Christian (New Iberia, LA)
Next up, the Gryphons play the Grand Isle Trojans (Grand Isle, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 3. Lutheran will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record.
