New Jersey High School Basketball - Scotch Plains-Fanwood crushes New Providence
January 30, 2023: Scotch Plains, NJ 07076 Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders (Scotch Plains, NJ) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting New Providence Pioneers (New Providence, NJ), 70-41 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Scotch Plains-Fanwood upgrades its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Rahway (Rahway, NJ) to play the Indians in a Union County bout on Thursday, February 2. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 4-12. Rahway lost 63-42 in their recent non-league bout against South Plainfield (South Plainfield, NJ)
Next up, the Pioneers play the Brearley Bears (Kenilworth, NJ) in a Mountain Valley - Valley bout, on Wednesday, February 1. New Providence will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Bears come into the bout with a 4-8 record after their 45-43 league loss to Roselle Park (Roselle Park, NJ).
