January 30, 2023: Remsen, IA 51050 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the St. Mary's Hawks (Remsen, IA) and the visiting Storm Lake St. Mary Panthers (Storm Lake, IA), saw St. Mary's's basketball squad wallop Storm Lake St. Mary by a tally of 55-22.
With the victory, St. Mary's improves its record to 15-2 on the campaign. The Hawks host West Sioux (Hawarden, IA) to confront the Falcons in a War Eagle challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 12-4. West Sioux won 62-36 in their recent league challenge against Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union (Marcus, IA)
Next up, the Panthers confront the Sioux Central Rebels (Sioux Rapids, IA) in a Twin Lakes challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Storm Lake St. Mary will attempt to improve on its 0-12 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 16-0 record after their 60-51 non-league win over Estherville Lincoln Central (Estherville, IA).
