Arizona High School Basketball - Cortez crushes Apache Junction
January 30, 2023: Phoenix, AZ 85051 Cortez Colts (Phoenix, AZ) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Apache Junction Prospectors (Apache Junction, AZ), 47-25 in a league bout.
With the victory, Cortez upgrades its record to 6-12 on the campaign. The Colts host Coronado (Scottsdale, AZ) to play the Dons in a 4A Black Canyon bout on Wednesday, February 1. The Dons come into the bout with a record of 8-16. Coronado lost 60-44 in their recent league bout against Dysart (El Mirage, AZ)
Next up, the Prospectors play the Tempe Buffaloes (Tempe, AZ) in a 4A Black Canyon bout, on Wednesday, February 1. Apache Junction will attempt to upgrade on its 2-23 season record. The Buffaloes come into the bout with a 2-18 record after their 47-31 league loss to Vista Grande (Casa Grande, AZ).
