In Monday's non-league outing, the John Paul II Catholic Saints (Greenville, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Liberty Christian Academy Heat (Richlands, NC), by a margin of 58-8.

The Saints (14-4) will now prepare for their outing against Arendell Parrott Academy (Kinston, NC). The Patriots go into the NCISAA Coastal Plain outing with a 14-6 record. In their last outing, Arendell Parrott Academy was trounced by Greenfield (Wilson, NC), 51-28, in a league outing.

The Heat now own a 3-10 record. They play next when they host Wilmington Christian Academy for a Freelance outing on Tuesday, January 31.
