West Virginia High School Basketball - Bland County winner over Montcalm
January 30, 2023: Montcalm, WV 24747 The Bland County Bears (Rocky Gap, VA) basketball felled the host Montcalm Generals (Montcalm, WV), 39-27 in Monday's non-league test.
The Bears (13-5) will now prepare for their test against Grayson County (Independence, VA). The Blue Devils go into the non-league test with a 2-11 record. In their last test, Grayson County was beaten by Galax (Galax, VA), 50-36, in a non-league test.
The Generals now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Eastern Montgomery for a non-league test on Thursday, February 2. Montcalm will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 41-19 non-league loss to Parry McCluer (Buena Vista, VA). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-11.
