Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Athens overwhelms Wyalusing Valley
January 30, 2024: Wyalusing, PA 18853 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Athens Wildcats (Athens, PA) and the host Wyalusing Valley Rams (Wyalusing, PA), saw Athens's basketball squad wallop Wyalusing Valley by a tally of 76-55.
With the victory, Athens improves its record to 12-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Troy (Troy, PA) to confront the Trojans in a Northern Tier challenge on Thursday, February 1. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 15-0. Troy won 70-59 in their recent non-league challenge against Mansfield (Mansfield, PA)
Next up, the Rams confront the Towanda Black Knights (Towanda, PA) in a Northern Tier challenge, on Thursday, February 1. Wyalusing Valley will attempt to improve on its 1-13 season record. The Black Knights come into the challenge with a 3-12 record after their 40-37 league loss to Wellsboro (Wellsboro, PA).
