California High School Basketball - Santa Paula holds off Carpinteria
January 30, 2024: Carpinteria, CA 93013 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Santa Paula Cardinals (Santa Paula, CA) and the host Carpinteria Warriors (Carpinteria, CA), saw Santa Paula's basketball squad hold off Carpinteria by a tally of 59-55.
With the victory, Santa Paula improves its record to 22-5 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Hueneme (Oxnard, CA) to confront the Vikings in a Citrus Coast challenge on Thursday, February 1. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 5-20. Hueneme won 64-40 in their recent league challenge against Malibu (Malibu, CA)
Next up, the Warriors confront the Fillmore Flashes (Fillmore, CA) in a Citrus Coast test, on Thursday, February 1. Carpinteria will attempt to advance on its 13-11 season record. The Flashes go into the test with a 6-16 record after their 76-24 league win over Malibu (Malibu, CA).
