January 30, 2024: Winthrop, MN 55396 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds (Winthrop, MN) and the visiting Le Sueur-Henderson Giants (Le Sueur, MN), saw Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop's basketball squad hold off Le Sueur-Henderson by a tally of 69-68.
With the victory, Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop improves its record to 11-8 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds travel to Minnesota Valley Lutheran (New Ulm, MN) to confront the Chargers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 1. The Chargers come into the challenge with a record of 14-5. Minnesota Valley Lutheran lost 74-68 in their recent non-league challenge against Springfield (Springfield, MN)
