South Dakota High School Basketball - Wagner nips Hanson
January 30, 2024: Alexandria, SD 57311 Wagner Red Raiders (Wagner, SD) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Hanson Beavers (Alexandria, SD), 50-47 in a league bout.
With the victory, Wagner upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Red Raiders travel to Andes Central/Dakota Christian (Lake Andes, SD) to play the in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 1. The come into the bout with a record of 4-8. Andes Central/Dakota Christian lost 41-39 in their recent league bout against Tripp-Delmont/Armour (Armour, SD)
Next up, the Beavers play the Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans (Mt. Vernon, SD) in a A Region 5 bout, on Thursday, February 1. Hanson will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Titans come into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 85-58 non-league loss to Gregory (Gregory, SD).
