Texas High School Basketball - Wheatley overwhelms Scarborough
January 30, 2024: Houston, TX 77020 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Wheatley Wildcats (Houston, TX) and the visiting Scarborough Spartans (Houston, TX), saw Wheatley's basketball squad wallop Scarborough by a tally of 111-34.
With the victory, Wheatley improves its record to 16-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Kashmere (Houston, TX) to confront the Fighting Rams in a 4A Region III District 21 challenge on Friday, February 2. The Fighting Rams come into the challenge with a record of 7-12. Kashmere lost 49-41 in their recent league challenge against Mickey Leland College Preparatory Academy for Young Men (Houston, TX)
Next up, the Spartans confront the Yates Lions (Houston, TX) in a 4A Region III District 21 challenge, on Saturday, February 3. Scarborough will attempt to improve on its 2-19 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 14-8 record after their 59-57 league win over Worthing (Houston, TX).
